Fly to the fun-loving city of San Francisco to begin your North American adventure, sailing on board Grand Princess through Alaska’s Inside Passage followed by a road trip across the Canadian Rockies.
Famous for its cable cars, fog-shrouded bridges and steep streets, San Francisco is one of the United States’ most iconic cities, with a colourful history and restaurant scene that’s worth exploring on your two night stay. You’ll then board Grand Princess for your 10 night Alaskan cruise, sailing to the colourful town of Ketchikan, famous for its totem poles. A different way of life awaits in Alaska’s remote capital, Juneau, followed by the Gold Rush gateway of Skagway, which once boasted the shortest route to striking it rich in the Klondike. The narrow Tracy Arm Fjord and Victoria are your final two stops before disembarking in San Francisco for your flight to Vancouver.
After two nights to explore the city at your own pace you’ll begin your 13 day tour of the Canadian Rockies. Accompanied by an experienced Tour Director, your journey will take you through Vancouver’s contrasting neighbourhoods; British Columbia’s fertile valleys and forested mountains; and Glacier Bay’s glittering glaciers and tumbling waterfalls on your way to the resorts of Banff and Jasper. Along the way you’ll visit the milky turquoise waters of Lake Louise, the towering peak of Mount Robson, the resort town of Whistler and the archipelago of the Gulf Islands, returning to Vancouver for your flight home.
