Overview:

Flying out to Sydney - one of Australia’s most vibrant cities, Aurora will sail for Brisbane, home to some of Australia’s sunniest and most beautiful beaches, Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Darwin, right at the heart of Crocodile Dundee country.

Next, it’s time to explore the magical Far East, starting with the beautiful Indonesian island of Bali and Vietnam’s wonderfully unspoilt beach resort of Nha Trang. Vietnam’s capital, Ho Chi Minh City (still known to its inhabitants as Saigon) is a great place to pick up some souvenirs of your adventures; fabulous shops and colonial artefacts abound.

After Vietnam, Aurora takes you to the spectacular royal palace and colourful markets of Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, before calling at Bangkok with its ancient temples and enchanting Floating Market. After a relaxing beach day in Thailand’s exquisite Ko Samui, you’ll explore the lively street markets of Singapore and the myriad attractions of Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia.

Aurora then heads for the Indian Ocean, the tea plantations of Sri Lanka and the bazaars and exotic gardens of India, calling at Colombo, Cochin and exotic Mumbai before reaching the Middle East and a brand new destination for P&O Cruises, Abu Dhabi.

Aurora spends two whole days in Dubai - so you’ll have lots of time to explore its souks and golf courses before she heads back to Britain via Egypt, Cyprus, lovely Haifa in Israel and legendary Istanbul, which spans two continents and three millennia. Your grand tour nearly over, there’s still time to explore Athens and Lisbon before arriving home.

P&O Cruises - Aurora - 4 STAR

Aurora was designed to provide you with everything that you need for the ultimate cruise experience. Her gracious lines and superb entertainment combine to give you the cruise of your life. Aurora's watchword is indulgence. Want to leave the children for the day in one of the best child-care centres at sea? No problem. Feel a sudden urge for cappucino and Belgian truffles? Head for Raffles. Fancy champagne and caviar? Charlie's can oblige. Need to shop until you drop? Go right ahead. Want to learn to dance, improve your golf swing or catch up on your reading? Be our guest.

Whether you're looking for splashy nightlife of utter relaxation, whirlwind socialising or total peace, Aurora will match you, mood for mood.

Accommodation
Staying on board is designed to be as pleasant and luxurious as you would expect a holiday to be! P&O go to all sorts of trouble to make sure your stay is a wonderful and relaxing one. For example, you will be assigned a Cabin Steward whose job it is to make sure you are completely pampered. From waking you up (at your designated time of course!) and bringing you tea and biscuits to turning down your bed at night, his job is to ensure you are well looked after.

As for our cabins, they were designed to appeal to the widest spectrum of people and so vary in size and specification according to individual passengers requirements and budgets. Choose from a wide selection of cabins, from 3 or 4 berth family cabins and single rooms with king-size beds, to staterooms and deluxe suites with their own balconies. All have refrigerator, colour TV, direct-dial telephone, shower and hairdryer, and individually controlled air-conditioning.

Dining
From the crack of dawn, right around the clock, you'll be presented with delicious dilemas. Take breakfast for instance. You can enjoy freshly baked croissants and coffee in bed, sample breakfast buffet style on an open deck or a traditional breakfast stylishly served in the restaurant.
At lunchtime there is the option of a five-course repast in the restaurant or there are lighter alternatives such as freshly baked pizzas in the pizzeria, outdoor barbeques or the sumptuous buffet selection out on deck.

Naturally, being a British ship, afternoon tea is a time-honoured tradition where you can enjoy all the trimmings of tea, coffee, scones, sandwiches and irresistible cakes!

But the undoubted highlight of the day is dinner; not so much a meal but an event. Five or six superlative courses to be enjoyed in an atmosphere of style and sophistication. The choice is extensive stretching from exotic starters, succulent fish dishes and vegetarian options to a cheese board unlike any other. On certain evenings, themed dinners present an array of cultural delights from around the world.

Entertainment
Your nights, just like your days, aboard Adonia, can be as lively or relaxing as you choose. Once you've dined on the superlative cuisine and enjoyed the company of your fellow passengers, you may want nothing more than a moonlit stroll and an early night. If, on the other hand, your night is just beginning, we can offer you a dazzling array of entertainment and diversions.

After brandy and liqueurs in one of our bars or lounges, why not check out the main evening show? Wander around and you could find a late night cabaret, a talented vocalist, or join our hotly contested trivia quiz. On certain evenings, the usual atmosphere becomes even more electric. Starting with the Captain's Gala Cocktail Party, you'll enjoy a variety of special evenings. It may be a spontaneous barbeque on deck, the glamour of Casino Night, the Black and White Ball or Carnival Rio Night!

Feeling lucky? Then head for the casino. Feel like a laugh? Then see a comedian. Feeling energetic? Then come dancing with P&O Cruises. You'll find just about every style of dance on offer on our dance floors from disco to ballroom.

Two things that night owls will find most reassuring is the fact that our bars remain open and buzzing into the small hours and, if they have children, that there's a full range of night-time entertainment to keep them busy too.
