Overview

You’ll begin your voyage back to Southampton by joining Oriana in the exciting Australian city of Sydney. Your views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, as you sail out of this great harbour, are sights you’ll never forget.

New Zealand gets the in-depth treatment next, as Oriana sails through the mirror-calm waters of its famous Milford Sound before exploring the garden city of Christchurch, wonderful Wellington and buzzy, cosmopolitan Auckland. And as you leave this beautiful country, console yourself with a thought even more wonderful than the scenery - that this terrific adventure is far from over.

Bora Bora has a magical lagoon filled with an amazing array of endless shades of blue and emerald green, and the lush island gem of Tahiti is covered in unspoilt mountainous landscapes and cascading waterfalls. While Honolulu is hedonism personified. The grass-skirted hula dancers, fabulous beaches and spectacular volcanic scenery will more than live up to your expectations.

As you cruise under the iconic Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco dozens of attractions await, including Fisherman’s Wharf, cable cars and Chinatown, and you’ll have two full days in port to explore the city. And who knows - you may even end up in jail - on Alcatraz.

Heading south your first destination is Mexico’s top beach resort, Acapulco, where you can sample a margarita, sway to the strains of mariachi music and watch the death-defying cliff divers at La Quebrada. Next it’s a chance to explore secret coves and hidden lagoons of unique Huatulco, Mexico’s first eco-resort. Then, it’s an amazing day-time journey through one of the modern wonders of the world - the Panama Canal. Enjoy the sounds of the jungle and watch the huge mechanical locks in action as you travel through the biggest short cut in the world, from one great ocean to another.

In the Caribbean, you’ll experience the blissful combination of powder soft beaches, sparkling waters and swaying palm trees in Curacao, Margarita Island and Barbados, yet each island boasts very different architecture, cultures, tastes and traditions. After travelling across the Atlantic your last port of call, before arriving back in Southampton, is the ‘Garden Isle’ of Madeira, where you will have a full day and evening to stroll its famous beautiful gardens and sample its distinctive and delicious wines.
